The Voice: Talented twins wow coaches with beautiful cover of "Thank You" (VIDEO)
With so much talent featured already on the new season of The Voice, it takes a lot for an audition to stand out. Somehow, in spite of the quality of the competition, Andi & Alex managed to set themselves apart during tonight's round of blind auditions.
This week on The Voice, it's all about dynamic duos. First, everybody was amazed by Jubal and Amanda, who got engaged right after auditioning. Now, the show's fans are going crazy after witnessing the vocal perfection of Green Bay twins Andi & Alex. The sisters knocked the coaches' socks off with a gorgeous rendition of an iconic Dido song.
The moment Andi & Alex began to sing, it was obvious that hard-core competition between the coaches was about to ensue. Gwen Stefani and Adam Levine were especially quick to turn their cushy red chairs around, although they were soon followed by Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams. Desperate to land the gorgeous and very talented ladies, the coaches resorted to a few slightly underhanded tactics, including accusing one another of not being Packers fans. Mostly, however, the coaches heaped praise on the ladies, who deserved every compliment they received.
Twitter users were every bit as enthusiastic about the twins as they were about Jubal's proposal last night. Many agreed that the gals' performance was the best of the evening. The episode was full of talent, so that's quite the compliment. Highlighted below are just a few of the positive tweets that appeared following the twins' amazing performance.
The last two episodes of The Voice have proven that duos definitely belong on the show. That being said, Andi & Alex have their work cut out for them. Shelton correctly mentioned that duos struggle to make it far in the competition, as the potential for a bad performance is greater when there is more than one singer. But Andi & Alex are so in tune (and we're not just talking in terms of pitch) that it's hard to imagine these two struggling to impress. With the help of yet another talented "A" name — they opted for Team Adam — the twins are bound to go far. They could very well be one of the few duos to make the finals.
