Jim Carrey's girlfriend shared sad, cryptic posts days before death (PHOTOS)
Jim Carrey's girlfriend Cathriona White posted a string of sad messages on social media before her death.
News that White had taken her own life was revealed on Tuesday morning. And now, looking back on her social media, it seems she was hinting at the sadness in her life.
She captioned the photo with a quote from W.B. Yeats, "Faeries, come take me out of this dull world, For I would ride with you upon the wind, Run on the top of the dishevelled tide, And dance upon the mountains like a flame."
She also posted multiple photos of her nieces and nephews, reminiscing about her family.
Even Carrey's last tweet, which referenced White, now seems eerie.
TMZ reports that her body was found at a residence in the LA area on Monday night. And sources told the outlet that she left a note addressed to Carrey. The two had reportedly broken up on Sept. 24, and her note allegedly references their breakup.
She also signed off of Twitter on Sept. 24, saying, "I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest."
Police officials report they believe White died of an overdose and that pills were found next to her body. She was apparently found by two of her friends who went to check on her.
White and Carrey met in 2012 and dated a few months before they split, also according to TMZ. The outlet says the two got back together in May 2015 but, as previously noted, just broke up again last week.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends during this difficult time.

Jim Carrey has broken his silence just hours after the death of his on-again, off-again girlfriend was confirmed. He made an official statement to Us Weekly, saying, "I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona. She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt."
