During an interview with Us Weekly, Dovolani opened up about Zolciak’s health, and how he would love to get them back on the show.
“I went to the hospital and I stayed by her side for around nine hours, her husband showed up right away. And I was at the hospital with her for three days, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and then she got discharged on Friday and we danced on Saturday. We did the whole dance and I have video to prove it!” he told Us Weekly.
The doctors were happy to let Zolciak dance, but not to let her fly back to Los Angeles. And because the star was not able to perform, this resulted in her being dropped from the competition, as per the rules.
“I think the producers were fighting until the last minute to keep us in the competition,” Dovolani said, revealing that the lawyers made the call. “I want to continue so bad it’s not even funny. That’s why I put a tweet out there saying, ‘Bring us back!’ The producers want us back, I want to be back, Kim wants to be back — so the only people they needed to convince was the lawyers.”
Zolciak echoed her partner’s statements as she took to Twitter to let fans know she wants to come back — and she is getting a lot of support.
Please!!! 😉 I can be there next week! RETWEET lets go 😊 https://t.co/6JOP8tc2p8
