New report reveals how Jennifer Garner is coping with her divorce
After a decade of marriage, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck decided it was time to go their separate ways, but she's not going to be back on the dating scene anytime soon.
"She can't even imagine dating," a source told People magazine, adding that "it will probably be a long time before she is able to move on romantically."
Of course, that report is relatively unsurprising, considering that Garner has gone through some massive changes in her romantic life this year. But just because she has no interest in finding another man does not mean she's lying around at home mourning the loss of her marriage either. According to the source, she is handling the situation well.
"Jen is doing well," the source said. "She's still adjusting to a new normal, but seems more accepting of the separation."
The person added that she is "taking a little bit more time to herself" and "seems less stressed."
Despite the couple's differences, they are still committed to co-parenting, and although they do not live in the same place, their family home (which is currently undergoing renovations) will apparently remain a place "where they can help raise their children together," a source close to the couple told People.
While divorce is never easy, this report makes it seem as though Affleck and Garner are really trying to put their children first. And, apparently, the Gone Girl actor still really cares about his former spouse.
"Ben wants her to be happy," the source close to the couple told the mag. "Ben truly cares for Jen and really wants her to be happy overall in general."
Let's hope these two can continue to remain amicable for the sake of their children.
