Bring It's Dancing Dolls miss the mark with creative routine
The creative round has never exactly been kind to the Dancing Dolls, but during tonight's episode, the team really let Coach D down. If there's a silver lining, it's that the dancers managed to redeem themselves with an impressive stand battle.
The Dancing Dolls from Bring It deliver amazing routines week after week, but they are by no means perfect. This was especially evident during tonight's episode, which featured a creative routine with an intriguing concept... and terrible execution. Issues with the performance included poor timing and multiple stumbles.
To be fair, the dancers had a lot to contend with; their costumes featured awkward headpieces and feathers that seemed to fly everywhere. And their choreography was not easy. Add that to the pressure of such a tough competition, and it's easy to see why this particular performance may not have been the group's best.
Amazingly enough, this subpar routine was met not with yelling from Coach D, but rather resignation. She called out a few dancers for their mistakes and proceeded to warn the team that, this time, the Dancing Dolls might not win. The moms were far more negative, going so far as to whine about the problematic performance while their daughters were still dancing. Interestingly enough, they only spoke well of the teams competing against the Dancing Dolls.
Although a few dedicated Bring It fans insisted that the Dancing Dolls looked as amazing as ever, most Twitter users seemed to take issue with their performance. Echoing the moms and Coach D, these social media critics claimed that the Dancing Dolls were a huge disappointment. The following are just a few of the negative responses to the creative routine featured on tonight's episode of Bring It:
Against all odds, the Dancing Dolls managed to procure not one but two trophies. Not only did they win the stand battle (as expected), they were also the creative routine champions! Evidently, the judges were not paying attention to the constant mistakes. Perhaps the members of the judging panel appreciated the routine's concept or the difficulty of the choreography. The judges might not be as kind the next time the Dancing Dolls compete, so the dancers had best get their act together and deliver a cleaner, more synchronized routine.
