Life in the Giudice household just isn’t the same without Teresa, as evidenced by a new preview of the upcoming RHONJ special. In the emotional clip, Teresa prays to return to her family as soon as possible
Joe Giudice is doing his best to hold down the fort, but things just aren’t the same without Teresa at home. In an emotional new clip for the RHONJ special, Joe struggles to handle all of the day-to-day affairs previously dealt with by his incarcerated wife.
Every cloud has its silver lining, and for the Giudice family, it has been Joe’s ability to build closer relationships with his daughters. Also, Joe admits that, now that he’s constantly chasing after the girls, he’s managed to lose a good 10 pounds.
Perhaps the biggest silver lining related to Teresa’s prison sentence is the minimization of drama between the Gorga and Giudice families. Prior to Joe and Teresa’s legal issues, these two families were constantly fighting. Now, they have finally come together and let bygones be bygones. It’s sad that it took a lengthy prison sentence for the Giudices and Gorgas to cut the bickering, but at least they are finally able to focus on the bigger picture.
The rare moment of peace between the Giudice and Gorga families was touching, but the most emotional part of the preview was definitely Teresa praying on the phone with her family. Although Joe insists that she is the same strong woman running the household from behind bars, Teresa sounded broken in this video clip. She and Joe may have brought all of this on themselves, but it’s still difficult not to feel at least a little bit of sympathy for this family. Teresa is obviously broken up about being away from her beloved daughters and the Giudice girls aren’t taking it any easier.
In the clip, Teresa turns to her faith and asks God to bring her home to her family as soon as possible. Of course, her problems won’t end when she finally leaves prison. Then, it will be Joe’s turn to live behind bars and his sentence is far longer than Teresa’s. That’s too much for the Giudice family to worry about right now, however. At the moment, they can only bear to focus on one challenge at a time.
