Kendra Wilkinson reveals she almost went too far to get back at Hank Baskett
Just how far did Kendra Wilkinson go to get back at Hank Baskett?
The pair just completed an emotional season of Marriage Boot Camp, and a teaser for an upcoming episode of Kendra on Top reveals Wilkinson thought about doing a lot more for revenge than she actually did.
"There were times when I wanted to go out and get some closure, if you know what I'm saying," Wilkinson tells her mom and sisters in the clip, to which her mom adds, "Revenge sex."
Though Baskett revealed during Marriage Boot Camp that he had an affair with a transgender model during his and Wilkinson's marriage, she ultimately decided to stay with him. That doesn't mean she's been rock-solid in their relationship, though, as she reveals in the clip.
"When I went down that aisle and I married him, that's when I said to myself, 'I'm leaving everything behind. I'm never looking at another guy in my life. This is the man,'" Wilkinson says. "And now, because of the shake-up, I looked at other men again. You know? It just sucks being hurt."
She also describes when she "woke up from the misery one day finally, and I looked in the mirror and I'm like, 'I still got it, I'm about to go get it.' I thought, 'Oh, my God, this makes me feel confident and good. I want to feel young. I want to feel sexy again.'"
It was that realization that led to entertaining advances from other men.
"I have some guys that I've been texting lately that I think are not just in the friend category," she admits. "Right now, I'm trying my hardest to, like, distance myself from that feeling. I'm trying to say to myself, 'I'm married again.' But when a guy hits me up, it's just hard to shut that feeling off… even just a 'hey' from a guy from my past turns me the f*** on."
According to SheKnows dating and relationship expert Laurel House, Wilkinson's flirting could further damage the relationship, even if she never acts on it.
"While there is no defined amount of time that someone should be punished for such a trust-breaking act, Kendra continues to castrate him by retaliating through flirtatious texts with other men," House said. "The relationship will continue to be broken until she decides to stop twisting the knife. The problem is that everyone has a breaking point and Hank can only endure the punishment for so long before he becomes a broken man — which Kendra will not respect. At this point, enough is enough. They both need to focus on rebuilding their relationship."
Ultimately, Wilkinson's family encourages her to do just that: focus on Baskett and her marriage.
"You made the decision to forgive Hank," her sister tells her. "You made the decision to stay married, so you need to shut it off."
