Amy Duggar says it's a good thing that Josh was not at her wedding

Amy Duggar recently celebrated one of the happiest days of her life: her wedding day. But one family member who was glaringly absent from her nuptials was her cousin, Josh Duggar — and it's a good thing he was not there.

Speaking to People magazine about her disgraced relative, Amy revealed that she is still shocked by his actions.

"We're still shocked and furious to the extreme," she said of her cousin, who is believed to be seeking treatment in rehab in Rockford, Illinois.

"Let's let him be gone," she continued. "Let's let him get as much help as possible."

Josh's scandal has somewhat destroyed the family's reputation, and Amy and her husband, Dillon King, were so worried his actions may have overshadowed their wedding day that they even considered eloping.

"We almost eloped," she told the mag. "We thought about it so hard. We didn't want attention to be about what happened."

However, in the end, Amy's wedding went off without a glitch, and she looked absolutely beautiful as the couple exchanged vows in front of 400 wedding guests.
