Ladies of London: What your favorite star says about you
If you didn't hunker down with a cuppa tea and a biscuit Monday night for the premiere of Ladies of London, you're nuts. Few hours of television are as satisfying or entertaining as one where viewers are privy to the hilarious schoolgirl antics of women in British high society. Also, Caroline Stanbury. It's brilliant.
If you missed Ladies of London, the good news is Bravo has a tendency to re-air things 974 times each week, so your odds of catching it are pretty high if you so choose. But, for those of you who saw, can we all agree: Amazing.
This season we're seeing two new faces — Caroline Fleming and Sophie Stanbury — and two women from last year's cast are gone — Caprice Bourret and Noelle Reno. Also, Julie Montagu, aka Lady Hinchingbrooke, is now a regular. Yasss. While Bourret and Reno were both entertaining in their own right, I don't think anyone was tuning in to see them. Also, let's be honest here — most people weren't huge fans of Reno's.
It's still a little early to decipher exactly what we think of Fleming, but if I were a betting woman, I'd say she's a keeper. She doesn't seem like the kind of woman you'd want to cross — and you know people will cross her. (It's also impossible to say what we think of Sophie, as the only thing we know about her is that she's Caroline Stanbury's sister-in-law.)
Everyone is bound to have their favorite cast member on the show, as they should, but let's get real here: who you fancy the most is very telling.
Here's what your fave Ladies of London star says about you. Cheerio!
You're sassy. You're fun. And you can take a good joke — even if it's at your own expense. A little on the perfectionist side, you like it when things run smoothly, and of course, look beautiful. But if they don't — and if you've had a few glasses of Prosecco — you'll figure out a way to make do anyway.
If Juliet is your favorite Ladies of London gal, make no mistake about it: you're empathetic. Being so far away from home and having her husband be away on business can't be easy — especially when she's got two young kids. Even though her delivery and actions may not always sit well with you, you like Juliet and are totally the kind of person who goes out of your way to make everyone feel included at all times.
A lover of cooking, crafts and cozy home life, you're considered the Martha Stewart of your group of friends — and, naturally, you've got a killer Pinterest profile. You like having a plan and sticking to it. When things deviate from what you were expecting — oh, like, say, Thanksgiving dinner — you're not a fan. That said, you subscribe to the "when one door closes" theory and are quick to move on and forward when you encounter bumps in the road — after a few swear words, of course.
First and foremost, you're a nurturer. It's in you to want to fix things and keep the peace as often as possible. You tend to stay out of the drama, but are willing to give your honest, unbiased opinion when need be. People know they can always count on you, but one thing is for certain: Despite your warm and friendly demeanor, you are not to be treated like a doormat.
You march to the beat of your own drum and you're not the easiest cookie to crack. Never one to follow trends, you do what you think is cool — and couldn't care less about what others think of you for doing so. You don't have the largest group of friends (thanks in part to your hard-shell exterior), but the ones you do have, you're fiercely loyal to. You also like to stay out of the drama, but sometimes find it hard not to crack a joke or two about the ridiculousness around you.
You're fabulous and you know it. Born to be a star — even if it's just of your local theater — you know all eyes are on you when you walk into a room. And, let's not kid anyone here, you love it.
