Candace Cameron Bure is outspoken and willing to discuss topics that most people shy away from, and in a recent interview, she discussed her religious beliefs and whether she feels it’s hard to be an evangelical Christian in Hollywood.
Speaking during an interview with E! News as part of the promotion for her book, Dancing Through Life: Steps of Courage and Conviction, Bure revealed her thoughts on religion.
“It’s not [difficult] for me. It’s just who I am, and I’m just being myself, and we all have different viewpoints and different opinions in life. I think that’s what makes the world go ’round,” she said.
She added, “So I appreciate all those good conversations.”
Bure might be open to conversations with varying viewpoints, but she has butted heads with several people because of this. Most recently, she made headlines for her strong opinions on The View, where she had a heated discussion with Raven-Symoné about a bakery in Oregon that refused to make a lesbian couple’s wedding cake.
While Raven-Symoné thought that this was discrimination, the Full House actress took a different stance, saying it was not “discrimination at all,” but rather “freedom of association.”
