One Duggar is celebrating a very exciting time in her life (PHOTOS)
Amy Duggar and her fiancé Dillon King couldn't be happier as they recently celebrated their first of three bridal showers in Arkansas — and it looked to be a magical celebration.
A Dillard's department store called up Amy and asked if it could throw her a party to remember, which included 300 guests, and she took to Instagram to share several snaps from her special day, including a picture of a lavish cake, which she captioned, "Any day that involves cake is a very very good day! thank you for everyone who attended! And a special thanks to the sweet ladies at Dillard's!"
And she also included a photo of all the ladies involved in making her day so special — including her aunt, Michelle Duggar.
Speaking to Us Weekly of her celebrations, Amy revealed that Dillard's made her party completely stress-free.
"We gave them a list of people and they were like, 'The more the merrier,' It is stress free [sic] It was nice I didn't have to give out invitations or any of that. They did all that," she told the mag. "They went over and beyond."
Amy also shared a picture of her stunning outfit that she wore, a white BCBG jumpsuit — and fans were impressed with the look.
"You have such gorgeous hair and outstanding style!" one fan wrote. Others agreed, saying, "This looks great on you!!" and "Gorgeous!!!"
But while Amy is super excited to get married to the love of her life, it wasn't love at first sight. In fact, it was pretty far from it.
"When I first met him, he insulted me. It was when ruffles were really in style and he's like, 'What the heck are you wearing?' So we just started laughing that night and hanging out. I was like, 'Well, if he's going to be that honest I might as well keep him around,'" she told the mag. "I had no intention of ever dating him. I never thought he was attractive. Never flirted with him. Never kissed him. Nothing! Until one night all of our friends went camping and I kind of looked at him different."
And now he is the most important person in her life.
She said, "He's been my best friend for seven years… He makes me laugh more than any person on the planet."
