Gwen Stefani insider reveals how she really felt about Gavin Rossdale
You can still hear the echo of the world's collective hearts breaking in the wake of the announcement that Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale called their marriage quits.
2015 seems to be the summer of monster breakups. And just like Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, Stefani and Rossdale took a pre-breakup family vacation.
Radar online has revealed details about the couple's last hurrah. The rocker duo has been together for 20 years and married for 13, and their statement claimed they will no longer be "partners in marriage." But they will clearly continue to be partners in parenthood and will clearly maintain a positive relationship in the best interest of their three sons, Kingston, 9, Zuma, 7 and Apollo, 1.
The writing had been on the wall for a few weeks, and it is all so clear now, looking back at Stefani's cryptic social media posts.
Also, an insider close to Stefani told Radar Online that Stefani told the staff on the set of The Voice — where the "I'm Just A Girl" singer is a judge — she "needed to go to Montana for some very important business." She posted several photos from the now-infamous trip, like this one she captioned, " Wow #Montana u r so beautiful #favoritevacaever #neverwanttogohome"
Could she have not wanted to go home back to the reality of the end of her marriage? Was it the best vacation ever because they had resolved years of issues?
According to the reality-show producer insider, "We now know that the business she was referring to was that she was going there to end her marriage to Gavin."
Hold on, I have to go pick up the pieces of my broken heart. My favorite celebrity couple of all time and one of my biggest girl crushes "fell out of love" with her beau. Hashtag tragic. The insider said, "Gwen has not said anything about Gavin cheating on her, but she did say during rehearsals that they simply fell out of love with each other and that the marriage became more of a business relationship than anything else."
The insider continued, "She said that they have been going through some difficult times for years now, but that they stuck it out for the sake of their kids."
Celebs taking their children’s welfare into consideration while going through these difficult and high-profile divorces seems to be a trend (hello conscious uncoupling). And many seem to be taking a cue from Affleck and Garner and taking pre-divorce announcement retreats to discuss the future.
