And she has some surprising secrets for other ladies who want to achieve her look.
On a Monday appearance on NBC’s Today show, host Kathie Lee Gifford immediately noticed there was something different about the 32-year-old creator and star of the NBC comedy Whitney.
“We hardly recognized you,” Gifford said. “You look so great.”
Cummings replied, “Well, I did get a new face.”
But before the plastic surgery rumors take off, she’s not talking about going under the knife.
“I did this weird thing that nobody likes to do anymore where I gained weight,” she explained. “I gained like 25 lbs., which I think I needed to. I was way too skinny before. Here’s the thing: When you’re on television, you get confused. I looked like I was passing away and I put on, like, 20 lbs. I think it filled out… people think I got a face-lift.”

Cummings continued, “I feel like all the advice to girls nowadays is, ‘Lose weight! Lose weight!’ They say you have to pick your ass or your face and I’m picking my face, but I hope somebody else picks the other one!”
And that’s not all Cummings is doing lately to look her best. Her noticeably tanned, glowing skin she said she attributes to an LED machine she bought online.
“Did you see Eyes Wide Shut? It’s like a white mask that you put on. You look crazy and a couple restraining orders have already come in,” she said, saying the machine also “lifts and tightens” the skin. “I’ve been using it for like three months and everybody thinks [I had a face-lift].”
