Tonight Show shuts down after Jimmy Fallon is rushed into surgery
Jimmy Fallon's crazy antics on-screen might just be for show, but something happened offscreen that left him with a pretty gnarly injury.
The Tonight Show host was forced to cancel today's taping after a bad fall left him hospitalized. While some news outlets initially reported Fallon was in ICU, thankfully it's not nearly that serious.
"Jimmy Fallon was required to have minor surgery after injuring his hand at his Manhattan apartment this morning," his rep explained in a statement. "He is expected to make a full recovery."
The Tonight Show was scheduled for a two-week summer hiatus starting Monday, so Fallon will have lots of time to heal over the holiday.
