Magic Mike XXL sneak peek: Watch at your own risk (EXCLUSIVE)
OK, ladies, get ready for the most anticipated film of the summer: Magic Mike XXL! We are sooo lucky to have the very first exclusive clip and we are super excited to share it with you!
Well, hate to say it, American companies, but productivity may take a slight dip today. The reason? We can't stop watching this exclusive clip from Magic Mike XXL.
This 30-second teaser has all the shirtless men we've been longing to see after Magic Mike's debut in 2012. Channing Tatum, Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer are elevating the art form (yes, it's an art!) of male stripping to a whole new level.
We're also intrigued by the addition of the women to the film. Both Cody Horn and Olivia Munn have been stripped away, but Elizabeth Banks, Jada Pinkett Smith and Amber Heard are all participating in the big show.
When the possibility of a sequel unveiled itself on the internet, rumors floated that Channing Tatum may also direct the additional film, given that the first one was loosely based on Tatum's life during his stripping phase. But it looks like Gregory Jacobs is directing, which should be a good fit considering he was Steven Soderbergh's first assistant director on the first film in 2012. But we'd still love to see a Channing Tatum-directed film sometime soon. Maybe for Magic Mike 3? Pretty please?
In press materials provided by Warner Bros., they describe the plot of XXL as, "Picking up the story three years after Mike bowed out of the stripper life at the top of his game, Magic Mike XXL finds the remaining Kings of Tampa likewise ready to throw in the towel. But they want to do it their way: burning down the house in one last blow-out performance in Myrtle Beach, and with legendary headliner Magic Mike sharing the spotlight with them. On the road to their final show, with whistle stops in Jacksonville and Savannah to renew old acquaintances and make new friends, Mike and the guys learn some new moves and shake off the past in surprising ways."
Sounds perfect. Now get back to work!
Magic Mike XXL dances into theaters on July 1.
