Hilary Duff's Tinder presence is all a huge sham, according to new reports
Turns out Hilary Duff might be less interested in finding love than she is in finding fame, at least according to this new report that claims she's been using the dating app Tinder to further her career.
The former Lizzie McGuire star recently announced that she had joined Tinder and was already chatting to around nine guys. But while we initially thought this was a cute idea and a great way for Duff to meet interesting people in the wake of her divorce, it looks as though this was all just a ploy to hook a new reality show.
According to TMZ, Duff might be swiping right so that she can get footage for a new reality TV show, because she's reportedly planning on shooting footage of all the dates that she's set up through Tinder. And she already has some footage, because sources told TMZ that the actress's recent bowling alley date was filmed.
Duff revealed a little more about the date with the guy, whose name is Tom, during her interview on On Air with Ryan Seacrest, saying, "We went bowling, so we didn't have to talk too much, but we did talk a lot, actually.
"He was cool. He brought a friend and I had some friends there. He used to be in editing for reality shows. Now, he's an actor and he just wrote a play. He's an interesting guy. To be honest, I don't really want an actor either… I think he has a few jobs," she explained.
TMZ's sources also revealed that she had another date on Wednesday night, where she went to a pizza place, and this one was also filmed. However, she may have liked the second guy a little more than the first, because she apparently got a drink at the bar with the guy after dinner, and there were no cameras involved.
