Listening to Shailene Woodley talk about her diet will make you cringe
Shailene Woodley is one of the most talented and sought-after actresses in Hollywood, but instead of enjoying fine dining, she has a taste for something far more unusual: insects.
During a recent interview with Nylon magazine's April issue, the Insurgent actress revealed she has eaten a large variety of creepy-crawlies, and she thinks they just might be the future of food.
"I've eaten ants and that was great," she confessed to the magazine. "And June bugs, that was great. I think the future of food is in insects, so we'll see what happens."
She's tried some other strange delicacies, too.
"And I had pig's feet in Spain a few months ago and that was awesome. They're so gelatinous. It felt great for my stomach," she admitted.
Errr, we're not sure we share the same views as Woodley on the future of food — at least not yet — but she has given some serious thought to this theory.
It wasn't just the future trends of food that were on Woodley's mind during the interview, though. She's also concerned about the future of the earth as she shared some tips on how to live in a way that is more eco-friendly.
"Everyone could and should do a lot for the planet," Woodley said. "I think you should find one small thing that works for you and dedicate and commit to that one thing every single day. Regardless of whether it's when you leave the house just unplug your toaster, coffee machine, your TV, which doesn't need to be on all day. Don't ask for a straw at a restaurant. Make a goal not to drink out of plastic as much as possible."
