Demi Lovato gets touching 'sobriety' message from Wilmer Valderrama
We are so excited and happy for Demi Lovato.
She was so young, so famous and so addicted to cocaine that she couldn't go 30 minutes without it, Lovato said in an interview back in 2013. And as historically has been the case with so many child stars, she couldn't seem to keep up with the fame and the fast life, and it finally sent her to rehab back in 2010.
Since that time, the former Disney Channel star has been making up ground to getting control of her life. She has been open and honest with the public about her struggles and always candid about the path her life was and is currently on.
She said in that same 2013 interview, "I believed, wrongly, that my addictive behaviors were something that I was in charge of."
But now she is happily and humbly celebrating three amazing years of sobriety.
She took to Twitter to express her appreciation and support from her family, friends and fans.
And if that wasn't sweet enough, longtime boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama, posted the sweetest tribute to her on his Instagram.
He said, "Today we lay another stone together… I am proud and honor[ed] to be front row to see the world you are about to change."
Lovato said during an interview with Fitness Magazine that were it not for the That '70s Show star she would have relapsed.
We are beyond thrilled for Lovato. She is a style icon with her edgy looks and awesome hair. She makes songs we love to sing out loud with the car windows down, and she has taken control of her life. We wish her all the love and happiness in the world and can't wait to see what else she has in store!
