Amber Rose and Chrissy Teigen face off for Fashion Police hosting gig
The race is on to determine who will replace Kelly Osbourne on Fashion Police.
Osbourne quit on Feb. 27 following controversy when fellow host Giuliana Rancic made jokes that dreadlock-sporting Zendaya was a drug user.
Now, E!, the network that hosts the show, is searching for Osbourne's replacement. E! has considered big fashion names, including Real Housewives of Atlanta's NeNe Leakes and Keeping Up With the Kardashians' Khloé Kardashian.
Now, Us magazine reports, there are two new names being considered: Chrissy Teigen and Amber Rose.
Teigen, 29, is no stranger to the red carpet. She's accompanied her husband, singer John Legend, to numerous events, including the Oscars and the Golden Globes. She's been featured in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue — on 2014's cover, no less — and she has millions of Twitter followers, showing she has a wide fan base that she can bring to Fashion Police. The show has suffered multiple losses this year: first Joan Rivers' death and then Osbourne's departure.
Rose, 31, has shown she has the snark to keep up with the Fashion Police panel. She's had insane social media feuds this year with the Kardashians as well as her famous ex-boyfriend, Kanye West. She also made headlines from the VMAs red carpet last year, where she wore a Rose McGowan-inspired chain dress that bared just about all.
Us reports that former Glee star Naya Rivera is yet another possibility.
"Naya is talking to E! about being on Fashion Police," an insider told the publication. "They are really intrigued, especially since she was so controversial during her View appearances and got so much press."
But that same source says producers for the show aren't in any hurry to name Osbourne's replacement.
"They are thinking they might just use subs the next few months," the source said, "and not rush to make a decision."
