Ansel Elgort talks about losing his virginity at a really young age

Ansel Elgort isn’t afraid to get candid about his time in the bedroom.

During his interview with Elle Magazine in their March issue, the Fault in Our Stars actor got frank about his love for making love, and he doesn’t hold back. At all. Especially when it comes to talk about losing his virginity.

“I was 14,” Elgort shared. “I had no clue what I was doing, and neither did the girl.”

Elgort, who is now 21, said he would definitely do some things differently if he could repeat his first time. “I didn’t even make the lighting good. That’d be one thing I’d do differently. It was, like, fluorescent, bright bedroom light, like, over the covers.”

Elgort has definitely learned that and more since his first time. Namely, the importance of monogamy. And his views on sex haven’t changed just because he’s now in the spotlight. Despite having a plethora of girls who would, no doubt, love to be with him, Elgort doesn’t want to sleep around.

“If you like someone and the sex is really good and you enjoy spending time together, why wouldn’t you make that person your girlfriend? Why go around dating random girls and having terrible sex when you can be with someone you really like?”

Elgort also added, “But if you can find a girl who you can go to an EDM concert with, have a conversations with, who will sit on the couch and watch you play GTA [Grand Theft Auto] for three hours — and then you go to bed and have amazing sex? That should be your girlfriend.”

The actor may be a monogamist, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t enjoy looking. His father is a photographer, after all, and Elgort said he grew up with photos of naked women all over the place.

“I loved going to his studio. I’d disappear into his darkroom for, like, an hour, looking for all the boobs I could find.”

As for what he looks for in a woman: “I like strong women. Physical women. My dad photographed a lot of beautiful dancers. My mom was a dancer. I love when a girl is like, ‘I can’t hang out. I have to go to class.’ And I go pick her up and she’s all sweaty in a leotard with her hair in a bun. That’s the hottest thing ever.”
