Lia Marie Johnson is skyrocketing to stardom, so when we had the chance to talk to her about her reputation, fame and upcoming projects, we jumped at the opportunity. Here’s our Q&A with the teen actress and internet personality, for all old and new fans.
SK: What’s one misconception your fans have about you?
Lia Marie Johnson: I don’t share a lot of things about my life online, unlike a lot of people. People only see one side of me. So I think the public kind of makes up who they want me to be in their mind, from what I post and share online, but it’s very different from the reality of who I really am.

SK: What aspect of Hollywood and fame excites you the most?
LMJ: I think the whole Hollywood scene seems exciting: the fans mobbing you, the fancy Hollywood parties and the fancy Hollywood people. But the grass is always greener on the other side. I’ve never wanted to do what I do because of those glamorous things. I have a bigger vision than just partying with famous people.
SK: What’s one bad habit you have that you know you need to stop?
LMJ: I have a habit of putting myself in situations that I know will make my life more difficult and confusing. I like my life to be exciting, but I need to stop living so “in the moment” and think about the consequences a little bit more. But it’s hard when I just want to live life!
SK: What’s the hardest lesson you’ve had to learn so far?
LMJ: I think one of the hardest lessons I’ve had to learn is who I can trust and who I can’t. I’ve had to learn the difference between people who are genuine and the people who just want something from me. My circle is small, but having just a select few friends who are always going to have your back will always be better than having a ton of friends who will forget about you when you’re down.
SK: Who’s your celebrity BFF and what makes them so cool?
LMJ: I don’t have famous friends. I just have friends, and they’re all cool.
SK: What message do you want people to get from your music?
LMJ: When people listen to my music, I want them to feel like they’re magic and special, like they’re in their own movie or music video.
SK: What’s one “flaw” you have that you love because it makes you unique?
LMJ: None! I’m perfect!
SK: When are you most nervous?
LMJ: I actually get really nervous when I’m about to perform onstage. I get these crazy butterflies in my stomach and this tight, dry feeling in my throat. But as soon as I step on the stage it all goes away, and I feel this huge weight lifted off my shoulders and I never want to leave.
