Swift's accounts were hacked by individuals who claimed to be from the hacking group Lizard Squad. First it was her Twitter account that they targeted, telling Swift's 51 million fans to follow the handles @lizzard and @veriuser. But luckily either Swift or Twitter realized what was going on and her account was recovered just 15 minutes later. However, by this stage, we imagine the damage was already done.

Even though the tweets were only around for several minutes, they managed to gather thousands of retweets and favorites. It was then that the "Shake It Off" hit maker's Instagram account was targeted, and according to The Verge, the hackers posted a picture that urged Swift's fans to follow someone associated with the hack.

According to TMZ, the hackers are now saying that they intend to post nude photos of Swift. The Verge also reports that the hackers will release these photos for a small payment in Bitcoin.

However, Swift does not seem to be too concerned with the hacking, and she took to Tumblr to inform her fans of what was going on.

"My Twitter got hacked but don't worry, Twitter is deleting the hacker tweets and locking my account until they can figure out how this happened and get me new passwords. Never a dull moment," she wrote, along with thehashtag #hackersgonnahackhackhackhackhack.
