Jennifer Lopez doesn't understand why labels that apply to women don't apply to men, especially when it comes to dating.

Rumors have been flying that the actress is dating her costar, Ryan Guzman. The two star in the steamy thriller, The Boy Next Door. And though their onscreen chemistry is undeniable, even by the looks of the trailer, Lopez insists there's nothing romantic going on between them.

Furthermore, she resents it. Because Guzman is 27 years old while Lopez is 45. And the assertion that she is dating a younger man just fuels the fire of the "cougar" claims Lopez is sick of.

During an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Lopez said, "I hate that they have, like, a label for a women who would date a younger guy. If a younger guy's interested in you, what's the big deal?"

Let me just say as a completely straight woman, Jennifer Lopez is hot. Like smokin'! I saw her on the VMAs red carpet this year as she stalked by in her glitzy and revealing gown and I nearly had a heart attack because I didn't know such a beautiful woman could actually be real. A guy would have to have something seriously wrong with him not to be interested in Lopez. So it's no wonder she's embracing the dating game and enjoying her life. And she definitely, certainly, without a doubt, should not have double standards forced on her because of who she wants to date.

"But what's the word for the man who's after the younger girl?" Lopez continued. "And, like, I'm not after younger guys. If younger guys like me then that's one thing, you know?"

George Clooney, Bradley Cooper, Leonardo DiCaprio, Harrison Ford and Michael Douglas are all dating or married to women who are significantly younger. (Like, by more than two decades in a lot of cases.) Yet, they aren't called anything other than men. No one even bats an eye at their relationships.

Not that they should. Love is love is love. No matter what form a person finds it in, it should be embraced. Which is why I say Lopez should date whoever the heck she wants and enjoy every minute of it.
