Sean Penn, Charlize Theron engaged — and it was everything but traditional
Ever since Charlize Theron and Sean Penn decided to convert their longtime friendship into a relationship they've been inseparable, and for months there has been speculation as to when these two lovebirds would tie the knot — and that might be happening sooner than you think.
During a romantic trip to Paris, France, the couple reportedly took their relationship to the next level and got engaged, but it was anything but traditional.
According to Us Weekly, the couple secretly got engaged during a trip to the City of Lights last month, but don't be expecting to catch a glimpse of the Snow White and the Huntsman actress's giant sparkler anytime soon!
A source revealed to the publication that they "decided to take their relationship to the next level," after about a year of dating, but the proposal reportedly took place without a ring. "There's no ring, but they are committed," the source added.
Apparently a diamond ring is not something that Theron wants, as the magazine claims she is not the type of woman who ever dreamed of a big wedding, nor an engagement ring — not like the massive ring that Joe Manganiello gave to Sofia Vergara earlier this week!
The couple have yet to publicly announce their engagement but if the reports are true, let's hope third time's a charm for Penn, who has previously been married to to Madonna from 1985 to 1989, and to Robin Wright from 1996 to 2010.
This would be Theron's first marriage — although if this wedding happens we're not sure if we can expect to see photos of the big day, because it appears that these two like to keep things super low key.
