The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams has found herself in trouble with the law!
The reality TV star was arrested on Monday for allegedly speeding. According to TMZ, Williams was speeding down an Atlanta, Georgia, highway when she was pulled over. Police say she was going 78 mph in a 55-mph zone as well as driving with a suspended license.
Williams was then taken to jail and booked and released after posting $1,726 bond. The television personality was shaken up by the incident and later revealed her reason for speeding and her thoughts on handcuffs, and how they are not a good look for anyone.
“I was headed to visit my grandfather who is very ill with cancer in the hospital, and I was pulled over,” she told Dish Nation late on Monday night. “I was wrong for speeding absolutely and apologize for putting anyone at risk. I tried to explain the situation to the officer and show him that all my paperwork was in order, but he refused.”
“Handcuffs are not comfortable or a good look for anyone,” Williams added. “I was released, I have my license, my car and my freedom.”
The speeding incident marks the reality star’s second arrest this year as she was previously booked for a battery misdemeanor charge stemming from her fight with fellow RHOA costar Kenya Moore. The fight took place during the March taping of the show’s reunion episode. However, the two woman have since let bygones be bygones.
