Kesha wrote a flirty love letter to Dr. Luke, and it might ruin her case
A new piece of evidence appears to bolster Dr. Luke's defense in his ugly legal wranglings with Kesha, and we've got to admit — it doesn't look good.
Kesha claims the famed producer drugged her, sexually assaulted her, caused her eating disorder and then threatened her when she tried to break her contract with him, but Dr. Luke says it's all bull and the singer is just making it all up to get out of that contract.
To help prove his case, he just had a birthday card introduced into evidence — and if nothing else, it's a very interesting peek into their relationship.
According to TMZ, although the card is undated, Dr. Luke says it is from 2009 — several years after Kesha alleges he began abusing her — and is covered with lipstick kisses. It's what she wrote in it, however, that could potentially destroy her case.
"To The FOXXY-est producer EVER! Ur just getting better with time! Thank you 4 helping me make my WILDEST dreams come true! I LOVE YOU! xxx KE$HA + Lauren"
There's also an email from Kesha's mom Pebe Sebert that reads, "I hope you know, as much as you have been there for Kesha and me, that we will always be there for you, as family, and friends, if you need anything."
Sebert herself is suing Dr. Luke, claiming he gave her PTSD by raping her daughter. Her suit came a little over a month after he filed against her for what he calls lies about the alleged rape and reportedly trying to extort him into letting Kesha out of her ironclad contract.
Another thing Dr. Luke has going for him: In a 2011 deposition, Kesha swore he never laid a hand on her.
No comment on the new evidence from Kesha's lawyer Mark Geragos, which is surprising, considering how quick he was to blame Dr. Luke for raping Lady Gaga.
