9 Reasons Supernatural's Castiel is better than your dad
In the Supernatural Season 10 midseason finale, Castiel is going to be reunited with Jimmy's daughter. Here's why he could be the best dad ever.
I know that technically Claire isn't Castiel's daughter, just the daughter of the meat suit he is currently occupying. But with Jimmy out of commission thanks to Castiel (Misha Collins) taking over his body, having an angel as your pop could be better than the real thing.
1. He's a little gullible
Want to throw a big party with your friends? Need to "borrow" your dad's credit card for some "important school books"? While you'd probably never be able to pull that stuff off with a human dad, you could maybe get it past Castiel.
2. He's got angel strength
Talk about a dad who would be great to have around the house! He could lift up the furniture to help you find stuff or even just get the lid off the pickle jar whenever you needed it.
3. He'd be able to find you if you ever got lost
Don't worry about GPS. With a dad like Castiel, you wouldn't ever have to worry about being lost again. If you took a wrong turn, he could just pop into the car and tell you which way to go.
4. He's got friends like the Winchester brothers
Castiel has some pretty cool friends, none more cool than Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles). Though it's doubtful he'd ever let you date one of them (he's not that gullible), it would probably still be fun to hang out with them every once in a while.
5. He has a badass car you could borrow
Sure, it's no 1967 Impala, but Castiel has some fantastic wheels of his own. The best part? That monster of a vehicle could easily fit about 20 of your friends.
6. You could go anywhere on family vacations
With a snap of his fingers, Castiel can be anywhere he wants. If you've been dreaming of a summer vacation in Hawaii or a ski vacation in the Alps, there's no need to book a flight. Daddy Cas can take you wherever you want.
7. He's on speaking terms with the King of Hell
This might not seem like a good thing at first, but having the King of Hell on speed dial has its merits. Sure, Cas would probably have to work out a deal that could end all humanity, but he could get Crowley (Mark Sheppard) to help you out with that pesky history assignment.
8. Luckily, his wings are invisible
Having an angel for a dad is great, but there's nothing worse than having him show up at your school with his wings trailing on the ground. So it's a good thing that Castiel's wings are only visible when he wants them to be.
9. He'll stop any creepy guys from harassing you
That weird dude who keeps bothering you after gym class? He won't come anywhere near you once he finds out your dad is an angel. You'll just have to make sure Cas doesn't pop the poor guy onto another continent.
