Wait… Does this actually make him a rap god, then? This is blowing our minds right now. Per Billboard, Eminem has just set a Guinness World Record for most words in a hit single — “Rap God” — coming in at 1,560 words in just six minutes!
We dare you to print out the lyrics and try to follow along. It’s impossible! Especially at around the 4:25 mark, when Eminem starts rapping at the speed of light. Something supernatural is afoot here. Now, imagine coming up with these verses and then somehow managing to spit them out that quickly! This is why Eminem is paid the big bucks, right?
Be warned, the following video has a potty mouth.

Amazing, eh? “Rap God” is the third single off Eminem’s eighth studio album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, and has — we believe — successfully silenced all the rapper’s critics, which was the point. We’re curious to know if Em wrote such a mouthful song to prove that he is a “Rap God” or if it just happened to coincide? Because that’s pretty brilliant.
The rapper is not the only artist to recently set a Guinness World Record, though: Metallica set a record for being the only band to ever perform a concert on all seven continents; One Direction gets an honourable mention for being the first group to have its first three albums debut at No. 1; Miley Cyrus was recognized as the most-searched-for star on the internet; Katy Perry was noted for having the most followers on Twitter; and Shakira is mentioned for being the most “liked” person on Facebook. Applause for all!
What do you think of Eminem’s newly set record?
