Johnny Depp charms his way out of trouble in Mortdecai

Johnny Depp still has it going on. The actor is brilliant as a rogue in pursuit of Nazi gold in the trailer for Mortdecai. The film also stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Ewan McGregor.

How does he do it? Johnny Depp is back to being super-handsome, hilarious and all around amazing in the official trailer for David Koepp-directed Mortdecai, co-starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Ewan McGregor. Sounds like a good ride, right?

Not only does the cast impress the pants off us (literally, we have no pants on right now), but the film looks intricately amusing and slap-yourself-on-the-knee funny. Plus, those English accents everyone is sporting are sitting very well with us. Did anyone else notice how good-looking Johnny Depp is? Blond hair or no blond hair, that face was carved by angels.

Mortdecai follows Depp on his quest to find a stolen painting supposedly containing the code to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold. Intrigued yet? The film is based on the comic thriller novels written by Kyril Bonfiglioli, which are also worth a read.

What we love most about this trailer is that it finally gave us the appropriate face to make when someone underestimates our manservant. Cue this:

We cannot tell you how many times our manservants were completely ignored by employees of various establishments. If we had a nickel… Well, we’d be filthy rich. This particular facial expression can also be used when one is asked to share or to stop coming to the park naked.

Mortdecai is slated for release Feb. 6. Will you be watching this one, or are we going alone?
