Oh-em-gee, you guys. It’s here. It’s finally here! Hilary Duff‘s new single “Chasing the Sun” has been unleashed upon the world. The song was actually leaked on Monday on SoundCloud, just a day before the official release, but who cares? We just want to get our greedy little fingers on it.

Holy brother Tucker, how stinkin’ adorable was that? The single is meant to be a summer jam, inspiring folks to pack up their worries in an old kit-bag and smile, smile, smile… Did it succeed? Well, we think Duff is a porcelain unicorn of eternal goodness and perfection, so we obviously love this single. We can definitely see ourselves driving down a dusty road with the windows rolled down and blasting this little number, whilst enjoying the wondrous gift that is life.

Also, can we all take a moment and cry a little at the cuteness packed into that short music video? First of all, Hilary Duff is looking mighty gorgeous and that bikini bod is unreal. We are so glad she tossed some humour into the video, because that makes us love her even more. We may be biased, but the woman is flawless.

“Chasing the Sun” was co-written with Toby Gad, Colbie Caillat and Jason Reeves. It’s meant to be a sampler of the delicious sounds wrapped up in her new record, which thus far is shrouded in complete mystery. All we know is that we can’t wait for it to come out. We want it bad.

What do you think of the single? Is it going to make it to your summer playlist?
