Well, if you found yourself in the right place, at the right time — somewhere on a beach down in the States — you may have noticed a pretty exciting message flying across the sky on Saturday, promoting Hilary Duff‘s new single “Chasing the Sun.”

Did you get a good look at that? The new single “Chasing the Sun” is dropping on July 29. That is a Tuesday. Mark it in your calendars, people. Set your alarms. This is Duff’s first song off her newest record (currently in the works), which is her first album since 2007’s Dignity. Yes, it has been seven years since her last album, which means she was only 19 years old when it came out. Needless to say, a lot has happened since.

We’re really excited to hear Duff’s new sound on her record, considering that she has completely transformed since her last album. She is turning 27 years old this year, she has been married and has a son… We’re expecting a more mature approach, but still want Duff’s carefree attitude in there.
