Check out Keira Knightley singing “Lost Stars

We are so excited about Begin Again, mostly because we want to hear Keira Knightley sing and see Adam Levine play a jerk. What more do you need in a movie?

Oh, we love the world right now! Not only are we super excited about the release of Keira Knightley‘s new film Begin Again — co-starring Adam Levine — but we now have access to an adorable sneak preview of the actress’s vocals talents.

Vulture unveiled a lyric video for Knightley’s rendition of “Lost Stars” off the Begin Again soundtrack, with footage from the flick, in which she plays Gretta, a songwriter whose musician boyfriend, Dave (Levine), dumps her with the first taste of fame, and who is then befriended by a disgraced record label executive named Dan (Mark Ruffalo). This quirky storyline is filled with indie tunes performed by the gang and is set to the backdrop of a summer in New York City. How perfect is that?

Now, on to the meat of this hoopla… We had some doubts about Knightley’s vocal abilities, but the actress is totally pulling her weight on this track. She has a very gentle voice, which makes us think of breezy summer evenings. Check her out:

How beautiful was that? Be still, our hearts. Begin Again hits theatres on June 27, and if you haven’t seen the trailer for it, we highly recommend you do. Grab your girlfriends or your reluctant significant other, and meet us at the nearest cinema. We’ll be the ones with a rose between our teeth…
