Put down your baby, stop brushing your hair, get out of the office, stop folding those clothes… Nothing is as important as watching the video above right now, because it is going to change your life! OK, maybe we’re being a little dramatic, but that’s just how good it is.
The freshly married Leighton Meester joined forces with a rather unknown retro-vibe artist, Dana Williams, for an acoustic cover of Fleetwood Mac’s iconic track “Dreams,” and it is amazing. Better than amazing, it’s amazilliant (amazing + brilliant)!
The two of them just sit there strumming their guitars — wearing cute things — and sing in dainty voices that complement each other better than peanut butter and jam. It just turns into this airy and absolutely lovely tune that is perfect for the onset of spring (if it ever comes).
Who knew Meester has such a beautiful voice? And if you enjoyed the musical stylings of Ms. Williams, then look into her newly released EP The Lonely One. It’s like a fresh mixture of indie and Ella Fitzgerald.
What did you think of the cover? We’ve had it on replay for about four hours, so we’re a little biased, but it’s the best thing ever, no?
