The 6 most mysterious celebrity deaths

Drama is afoot! With new reports of foul play in the death of Brittany Murphy, we’ve decided to review other deaths surrounded by intrigue and conspiracy.

Brittany Murphy

Oh, the mysteries of this world! The great wide Internet is presently aglow with a brand new puzzler surrounding the death of Brittany Murphy after a new toxicology report suggested that the actress might have been poisoned. This, of course, spawned a slew of conspiracy theories that probably extend up to the Vatican.

Murphy died in December 2009, from a reported bad case of pneumonia, iron-deficiency anaemia and drug intoxication. The drugs weren’t anything fancy or illegal; they were just the run-of-the-mill infection medications.

The actress’ father, Angelo Bertolotti, was dissatisfied with the inconclusiveness of the toxicology report and secured Murphy’s samples for separate testing. The new lab reports found ten heavy metals in the actress’ system at very high levels, thus pointing to a possible poisoning. Several experts have since discredited the findings, claiming that even several beauty treatments (e.g. dying hair), could change a person’s sample chemistry.

Either way. the plot is thickening. We’ll just have to wait and see whether the case will be reopened and investigated. Hollywood has long been shrouded in intrigue, and Murphy’s is not the first suspicious death on that block. So. . . let us theorize and investigate other equally mysterious celebrity deaths! Get your pipes and Sherlock caps, ladies!

Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe’s death was sudden when she slipped into a coma after allegedly overdosing on sleeping pills in 1962. The death was ruled a possible suicide, but the people disagreed. According to several reports, numerous items were removed from Monroe’s home by unknown perpetrators prior to her death, and the timeline leading up to her demise is also murky. Some sources even claim President John F. Kennedy and his brother, Robert, had a helping hand in arranging her murder, since she was rumoured to have had affairs with both. It was also reported that John F. Kennedy was the last person Monroe called before she died. Will we ever know?

Jimi Hendrix

Jimi Hendrix

Jimi Hendrix died in 1970 at the tender age of 27 years old, from allegedly choking on his own vomit whilst intoxicated with barbiturates. Monika Dannemann was with Hendrix the entire night, giving more cause to suspicion. Dannemann’s timeline has been disputed and was, at times, distorted, as were the circumstances under which Hendrix had ingested the drugs. Alas, all investigations were inconclusive, so the mystery remains. What in the world happened?

Tupac Shakur

Tupac

This death is so incredibly tragic because Tupac Shakur was only 25-years-old at the time! The events leading up to his death are a little muddled. All we know is that a car with an unknown number of occupants opened fire on the rapper, and Tupac succumbed to complications resulting from the wounds on September 13, 1996. Those responsible were never caught, although several theories are in existence. The most astounding aspect of the murder is the lack of progress in such a high-profile death. It has been long compared to the murder of fellow rapper Biggie Smalls, whose death also remains unsolved. Although, some theories purport that both rappers are alive and simply faked their own deaths. . . Who knows?

Natalie Wood

Natalie Wood

This death is like a mystery novel: there was a boat with Natalie Wood; her husband, Robert Wagner; Christopher Walken; and the vessel’s captain aboard. Somehow the actress wound up in the water and drowned in November, 1981. But how? Nobody admitted to ever seeing Wood enter the water, and she was found with a decent amount of alcohol in her system, but the events leading up to her death or even the possible motive remain disputed. It’s one of the greatest mysteries of Hollywood, with many criminal theories. We may never know.

Paul McCartney

Paul McCartney

Believe it or not, there is a conspiracy theory about Paul McCartney’s death. . . which is very strange since he is very much alive right now. But, according to several conspiracy theories, McCartney died back in 1966 in a car accident and has since been replaced by an imposter. Of course, the imposter happened to have the same voice and writing style, but we’ll call that a coincidence. This may be one of the stranger theories out there, with very little truth to it.
