Ben Affleck in negotiations to star in Gone Girl
Ben Affleck is one of the most in-demand actors out there right now. The actor is currently negotiating for a leading role in David Fincher’s Gone Girl.
Ben Affleck is reportedly in talks with 20th Century Fox and New Regency to star in the film adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s incredible thriller novel, Gone Girl.
That’s right, Affleck may play Nick Dunne!
The film will be directed by David Fincher, who has recently worked on The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Accoring to Deadline, Flynn penned the first draft of the screenplay herself and is currently rewriting it with Fincher. Reese Witherspoon, Bruna Papandrea and Leslie Dixon are going to produce the film.
The novel, Gone Girl, follows the story of Nick and Amy Dunne, whose married life begins to dissipate when Nick loses his job and the couple are forced to leave New York City for a small town. To make things worse, Amy’s sudden and mysterious disappearance leads to Nick becoming the prime suspect in the case.
Affleck has already been spotted lunching with Fincher in Brentwood, California on Tuesday.
Is Affleck a good casting choice for Nick? Who should be cast as Amy?
