Kristen Stewart drops out of film

And then there were none. The hyped-up film Focus first lost Ben Affleck, and now it has lost Kristen Stewart, leaving the project without a lead.

Kristen Stewart

It is incredibly ironic, but this new film Focus lacks a lot of... erm... focus.

The movie is written and directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, the same duo that brought us Crazy Stupid Love, but the cast is so flaky! The project started out with Ben Affleck and Kristen Stewart on board, but then Affleck dropped out due to scheduling conflicts, and now — you got it — Stewart is out too.

The film's plot revolves around a seasoned con man who falls in love with a protégé. According to reports, Will Smith is currently in talks to replace Affleck in Focus, and Stewart had a problem with that. Apparently the 23-year-old actress dropped out because of the vast age difference between them (Smith is 44 years old).

To be fair, though, Affleck is 40 and did not pose a problem for Stewart. But what do we know?

So now the film is left without any lead actors. Good luck with that!

What do you think?
