But they’re so good! Rising band The Civil Wars has cancelled its European tour because of internal issues and conflicts. Nobody knows if it’s all over or not.
At least they’re being civil about this war…
The Civil Wars has cancelled its European tour and the Australia-New Zealand trip due to internal conflicts. Say, whaaa?
“We sincerely apologize for the canceling of all of our tour dates,” the band explained via Facebook page. “It is something we deeply regret. However, due to internal discord and irreconcilable differences of ambition we are unable to continue as a touring entity at this time. We thank each and every one of you for your amazing love & support. Our sincere hope is to have new music for you in 2013.”
Joy Williams and John Paul White got together back in 2009 to form the folk band; their 2011 album Barton Hollow won the Grammy for Best Folk Album in 2012. The duo even collaborated with Taylor Swift on “Safe and Sound” for the Hunger Games soundtrack.
These guys are incredible, and we sincerely hope all those differences will be resolved, or better yet, swept under the carpet the way other dysfunctional bands do it… No?
Are you looking forward to more music from The Civil Wars, or could you not care less?
