This is so exciting! Jamie Foxx is in talks to appear as the Marvel Comics evil villain Electro in the next Amazing Spider-Man. This would be the first time the character is featured in a film.

Jamie Foxx was so electrifying, they had to give him the part…

The 44-year-old actor is in talks to appear in the The Amazing Spider-Man sequel as the super-villain Electro.

The Marvel Comics character, whose "real name" is Max Dillon, acquired his ability to control electricity after being struck by lightning and decided to turn to evil. Electro has never been portrayed in film before.

Foxx gave impatient fans a bit of a hint in a cryptic message, with a Halloween tweet on Thursday saying, "Dressed up as Electro for Halloween last night. Costume fits well."

Does that mean he's in? Are we going to finally see Electro in a movie? We need answers! Our inner comic book reader demands it.

Alas, no confirmation of any sort. The sequel is slated for release on May 2, 2014. Director Marc Webb will return, along with actors Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone.
