5 Best wedding movies
We all love a movie with a happy ending, and nothing makes a movie come together quite like a great wedding. These five wedding movies are some of the best!
The Wedding Date
Debra Messing may not be super-well-known for much of what she's done other than Will & Grace but this fun movie about a girl (Messing) who has to hire a date for her sister's wedding is a great one to check out. Dermot Mulroney is charming as ever as her paid escort, and Amy Adams is hilarious as her over-the-top sister. Usually movies focus on the stress of being the bride but this one takes the anxiety of being a guest to a whole new level.
If you're a lover of wedding movies, you'll be happy to know this one has two walks down the aisle — that's double the dresses, cute guys and elaborate soirees. How can you say no? Plus, seeing Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway play best friends who are duking it out for the top wedding extravaganza is downright hilarious. Let the pranks begin!
My Best Friend's Wedding
Let's face it, we can never get enough of Dermot Mulroney and wedding movies — he's just too darn charming! And he's wonderful as always in this classic movie alongside Julia Roberts and Cameron Diaz. When Roberts' character finds out her best friend, played by Mulroney, is getting married, she suddenly realizes he may be more than a friend after all. With just days before the big day, she sets out to win him for herself. It's by far one of Roberts' best romantic comedies.
Made of Honor
It features men in kilts — need we say more? Oh, and it stars Patrick Dempsey, who's trying desperately to win over his best friend — played by Michelle Monaghan — who's engaged to someone else. Yup, you're in for a solid hour and a half of attractive Scottish men and TV's hottest star trying to win the girl — how awesome does that sound?
Romantic comedies are great, but when you're in the mood for something a little less predictable and sappy, you can always turn to Wedding Crashers. You get to see plenty of wedding dresses and soak in a few love stories, but in a totally different genre. Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn's hijinks will keep you entertained from beginning to end.
