Taylor Swift releases new single “Begin Again

This girl sure has had some heartache. If you’ve been wanting to hear something new from Taylor Swift, your wait is over! The singer has released a new single from her upcoming album, and it’s simply great!

Taylor Swift

If you are physically exhausted and nauseated from being harassed by Taylor Swift‘s hit song “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” but adore her unconditionally regardless, we have some grand news: She has a new song, and it’s actually not annoying.

The songstress released her new single “Begin Again” on Monday, and it has already shot up to the number one spot on iTunes, kicking the Korean viral sensation “Gangnam Style” out of the musical chart throne. Well done, Ms. Swift!

This single is far more country than the first single off Swift’s upcoming album Red, but it still has a very poppy sound to it. Let’s just say it’s the best of both worlds. But the good news is that this is not a breakup song! It’s more of an “I’m-picking-up-the-pieces” type of deal.

The song isn’t half bad; it’s a dramatic retelling of Swift’s past relationship — as they all are. Her boyfriend just didn’t seem to get her and has a strong vendetta against high heels… What a monster. Lyrically, it’s well written, and it’s such a melodic lament.

Red is coming out on Oct. 22. Pre-order if you’re a fan!

And for your hearing pleasure, here is “Begin Again.” Let us know what you think!
