Mayim Bialik back on set after car crash

There’s a lesson here for all of us. A day after suffering injuries to her hand in a car crash, Mayim Bialik is back on the set, filming the new season of The Big Bang Theory.

Mayim Bialik

You don’t have to be a Big Bang Theory fan or adore Amy Farrah Fowler to admit Mayim Bialik is one heck of a trooper.

The actress returned to the set of the CBS series one day after suffering severe lacerations to her hand in a car crash.

“Fine. All ten digits,” Big Bang‘s executive producer Bill Prady tweeted, dispelling rumours that Bialik may lose a thumb. “Stopped by the stage this morning. ?@missmayim hard at work and all is well.”

According to the L.A.P.D., the 36-year-old actress obtained her injuries when a car tried to turn in front of hers, resulting in a near head-on collision that sent Bialik to the hospital. The occupants of the other car were not hurt, and no charges were laid.

Now, whenever you have the urge to call in sick to work or to skip out on the dreaded gym workout with your girlfriends, think of Mayim Bialik and her possibly mangled hand, hard at work on the set of The Big Bang Theory.

We are glad to hear all is well and cannot wait to see the new episodes, promising to bring more Amy Farrah Fowler oddness. Opinions?
