98 Degrees reunion: No tour, just one concert

For those of you giddy with excitement about the rumoured 98 Degrees tour, you should sit down… But don’t worry; all is not lost!

98 Degrees

Before we even say anything, please take one longing look at the photo here and remember yesteryear — early 2000s. Heh… Oh, youth, where art thou now?

Despite the rampant rumours of a 98 Degrees summer tour, we must sadly disappoint you ladies (and gents). It ain’t happening.

But before you sink into a bottomless pit of depression, we are happy to inform you the band will put on one concert in August. Oh yes, we hope those faded, bedazzled jeans and that embroidered tribal/tie-dye tee still fit…

It’s been 11 years since we last saw 98 Degrees take to the stage, but Nick and Drew Lachey, Justin Jeffre and Jeff Timmons are reuniting for one amazing pop concert extravaganza! Who else is surprised it’s already been 11 years? It seems like only yesterday…

“There really is nothing like coming together as a unit, as a group, as a band, on the stage, and I think we all miss that,” Nick Lachey told KIIS-FM’s Ryan Seacrest.

“We all miss the rush of being onstage together, performing together. And certainly the fans have kind of been clamouring for it, so it just felt right.

“We always said we were not broken up, we were just taking a break, and now it just seemed like the right time to put everything back together.”

So where can you witness this wondrous, magical, once-in-a-lifetime performance?

At the MixTape Festival in Hershey, Pennsylvania, where you can also enjoy the Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block. Oh yes, you read right — it’s musical boy band paradise.

What do you think? Would you be interested in reliving the 98 Degrees craze?
