Miley isn’t one to shy away from speaking her mind, and now the starlet is talking about a topic that has officially changed her status from teen pop star to honest young woman.
Let’s talk about sex, baby — with Miley Cyrus!
The former Disney starlet has definitely grown up from her Hannah Montana phase and is having the adult conversations to prove it. The actress opened up about the taboo three-letter word in an interview for The Conversation with Amanda de Cadenet show, telling Amanda that talking about sex shouldn’t be a big deal for young women.
“It’s the only way we create, and it’s the only way the world keeps going,” says Miley in the interview, according to the Daily Mail. “So it’s ignorant not to talk to your kids about it or not make it seem as magical or cool as it actually is. Kids have a TV, so they know what sex is.”
Well, well, well… Miley has definitely matured from her little girl status, hasn’t she?
The 19-year-old also said she dislikes the fact that some young women think performing the intimate act is only for sexual pleasure or attracting a partner.
“The girls that really base how much they’re worth on the sexual favours they can do for somebody, that makes me really sad. Because sex is actually really beautiful,” says Miley.
Now whether you think Miley is too young to talk about the topic or that she’s tacitly suggesting she engages in the act with her super-hot boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, she definitely has some words of wisdom, and it makes sense that, as a teen role model, she let her fans know she can have grown-up conversations.
She even has a tip for parents: “Educate them and let them know… It’s a beautiful thing, and it is magic…”
OK, now we have to ask — is she referring to Liam when she says it is magic? We were just wondering…
