That’s just scary. Dustin Hoffman ran to the aid of a collapsed jogger who suffered cardiac arrest in London.

Dustin HoffmanDustin Hoffman to the rescue! The actor lent a helping hand in aiding a jogger who collapsed due to cardiac arrest in London’s Hyde Park.

Sam Dempster, 27, stated that Hoffman waited with him for the paramedics. The actor detailed that the young jogger fainted and was frothing at the mouth; Dempster was resuscitated with a defibrillator.

“It is essential to get a history of what has happened, and he witnessed the jogger go down. He was the main witness and saw him stagger and go down,” stated Martin Macarthur, one of the paramedics at the scene. “He stayed on the scene for the whole duration of the resuscitation, which was about 15 minutes. He was very concerned.”

Our hero! Mr. Hoffman here did a great deed; we should all take note. Too often we hear about celebrities fleeing the scene after, say, a car crash (right, Lindsay?). It’s nice to see someone who actually helps out.

There ye have it. Godspeed!
