Adele is back and she’s ready to belt it out!
The British soul singer and her captivating voice will now be heard at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards Show on Feb. 12. Adele confirmed that she will be performing at the Grammys via her Twitter.
“Ima be, Ima be singing at the Grammys. It’s been so long I started to forget I was a singer! I can’t wait, speak soon xx,” tweeted the songstress.
Adele’s performance is good news to both her fans and her, considering that last November she had to undergo surgery for a vocal cord hemorrhage, causing her to cancel her U.S and U.K tour dates in October and November.
In a press release statement on the official Grammy website Adele expresses her happiness and nervousness to be performing at one of the most important music award shows all year.
“It’s an absolute honor to be included in such a night, and for it being my first performance in months is very exciting and of course nerve-wracking, but what a way to get back into it all,” she says in the statement.
The two-time Grammy winner also earned six nominations including Record of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album and Song of the Year for Rolling in the Deep. Adele joins a slew of other musicians expected to perform on the big night including Coldplay and Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson, Bruno Mars, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift.
