Hold on Lindsay – Canada isn’t ready for your party girl image.
The Hollywood actress, who has definitely seen her share of downs these past few years , may not get a chance to redeem herself right away because of her troubles with the law.
The Mean Girls starlet was recently in the lead and slated to play the ever-glamorous icon Elizabeth Taylor in a Lifetime biopic movie called Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story, but it seems like LiLo’s legal woes may get in the way.
According to E! Online, Lindsay Lohan will be on probation until May 11, 2014 and although she may be in a favorable standing with Judge Stephanie Saunter, her court-order probation may prevent her from leaving the country to film the movie.
“March is when all of [Lohan’s] requirements of probation are completed, but that’s not when her probation terminates,” said criminal attorney Troy Slaten to E! News.
Lindsay, who was charged for a DUI in May 2007, became a celebrity target after her excessive partying and unstable lifestyle was said to be ruining her triple-threat career. The Canadian government isn’t too pleased with Lindsay’s record either.
“In Canada, a DUI is a felony, they take it very seriously there in regards to entry,” said Slaten.
Yet there is no denying that Lindsay has shown progress. She’s been following her court-ordered requirements – and also looking fashionable while doing it.
The Elizabeth Taylor role would be a major comeback in Lindsay’s career and would also be her second attempt to regain her Hollywood “A-status,” after her seductive Playboy cover. Here’s to hoping that something will work out for the talented actress as she tries to turn her life around.
