Yung Berg arrested for domestic abuse, and the allegations are horrific
Yung Berg, also known as Hitmaka, was arrested early on Wednesday, Nov. 5, after allegedly brutally attacking his girlfriend.
The Love & Hip Hop Hollywood star, whose real name is Christian Ward, was arrested after a domestic assault on his girlfriend at a New York City hotel, the New York Police Department told ABC News.
According to the New York Post's Page Six, Berg and his girlfriend Masika Tucker, who is also on the hit VH1 show, got involved in a heated argument at the Gershwin Hotel in Manhattan, where they had been sharing a room.
Police responded to a 911 call that reported the assault around 2:15 a.m.
According to the site, Tucker was allegedly brutalized by the "Sexy Lady" rapper and was dragged by her hair, grabbed by her neck, thrown on the floor and hit in her face.
Reports claim that when the New York Police officers arrived at the scene they found Tucker badly beaten, but even though she was visibly bruised and claimed that she was in pain, she refused medical attention.
It is not immediately clear what the couple was fighting about, but the news will come as shock to fans, because just hours before his arrest, Berg took to Instagram to share a loving shot of himself and Tucker with the caption "bae," which is usually used to describe someone who comes "before anyone else."
Berg is currently in custody and has been charged with criminal obstruction of breathing. He is expected in court later today.
