Michael Jordan has nothing against the president... except his golf game
Former NBA star, Michael Jordan, has a bone to pick with President Barack Obama.
But this one has nothing to do with the president's politics, Jordan says. No, it's all about something that happens way outside of the Oval Office. Let's just say, Jordan thinks green is not Obama's color — he thinks the prez is a seriously terrible golfer.
During an interview with Back9Network, Jordan threw so much shade at Obama's golf game, it's a fair assumption he won't be getting any tee time invites from the commander in chief any time soon, even though, now retired, Jordan spends a ton of time on the links.
The host of the show, Ahmad Rashad, asked Jordan who would be on his dream foursome for a golf game — a pretty innocent question, right? Jordan immediately mentioned Arnold Palmer, one of the greatest golfers ever to grace the game. Then, he was about to throw Obama's name out there, before he backed right out of that.
"I never played with Obama, but I would..." Jordan said, and then stopped suddenly. "But, nah, that's OK. I'd take him out. He's a hack and it'd be all day playing with him."
The host gave Jordan a chance to backtrack, saying, "You really want to say that the president of the United States is a hack?"
But Jordan stuck by what he said.
"I never said he wasn't a great politician," Jordan added. "I said he's a s****y golfer."
Oh, no, he didn't.
Michael Jordan is one of the greatest basketball players of all time, but where did he get the golf cred to talk such a big game?
So, there you have it, BO. Next time you're setting up tee times, it's a safe bet that MJ doesn't want an invite.
