Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star Mama June has come under fire recently for her alleged relationship with convicted child molester Mark McDaniel.
Since the initial report about Mama June’s relationship has surfaced, there have been some terrible secrets exposed about this man and what he reportedly did to Mama June’s own daughter, Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell, when she was just 8 years old.
During a heartbreaking interview with Entertainment Tonight, Cardwell called out her mother for striking up her relationship with McDaniel and potentially exposing her younger sisters to danger.
However, Mama June does not seem to be fazed by the allegations, despite the growing amount of evidence against her, as she gave an interview with the Mail Online website on Wednesday.
In videos that have been obtained by the site, Mama June was all smiles as she insisted to the reporter outside her Georgia home that “the protection of my kids is my number one priority.”
“We are handling this as a family matter,” she said. “We are doing it behind closed doors, that’s how I am. I’m very quiet. I love my family… We’re handling what happens privately.”
Mama June previously released a Facebook video in which she denied the claims that she was dating McDaniel, but she added on Wednesday that she intended to grant a full interview to a media outlet (which has since been revealed to be E! News) sometime soon.
“It will come when the time is right,” she said.
“I have to think about my family, my kids, I have a lot of things to think about,” she said on the video. “My kids are my number one priority.”
