Matt Damon and Ben Affleck re-team for Syfy spy thriller
Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are joining the small screen craze and heading to cable with their latest spy thriller story for Syfy.
The famous duo is partnering through their production company Pearl Street Films to develop the project called Incorporated.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show is described as a "futuristic espionage thriller set in a world where corporations have seemingly ultimate power. The drama will be the story of one man's efforts to beat the system."
Brothers David and Alex Pastor, who previously worked on Selfless and The Last Days, are already attached to write the pilot, which comes from CBS Television Studios. Ted Humphrey, who is known for his work on The Good Wife, is signed on as showrunner and executive producer.
Television is where it's at right now for new and unique content with the binge-watching generation taking over popular media. Syfy jumped on board with a full roster of original content this season, including Dominion, Ascension, 12 Monkeys, Olympus, Z Nation, The Expanse and Hunters.
Of course, Affleck and Damon are known for their film roles and are showing no sign of slowing down in that department while their television series takes off.
Affleck is currently starring in the No. 1 movie across the country, Gone Girl. He is also slated to take the role of the iconic Bruce Wayne in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which is scheduled to release on March 25, 2016.
Damon, on the other hand, starred alongside George Clooney in Monuments Men earlier this year. He is attached to Ridley Scott's next feature, The Martian, which should hit theaters in 2015.
